{"id":73,"date":"2023-01-20T10:21:08","date_gmt":"2023-01-20T10:21:08","guid":{"rendered":"\/?page_id=73"},"modified":"2024-01-09T04:43:00","modified_gmt":"2024-01-09T04:43:00","slug":"our-history","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"\/index.php\/our-history\/","title":{"rendered":"Our history"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Maybanke-Logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"658\" height=\"206\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-680 size-full\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Maybanke-Logo.jpg 658w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Maybanke-Logo-600x188.jpg 600w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Maybanke-Logo-300x94.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 658px) 100vw, 658px\" \/><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In the late 1980s a small group of women with an interest in community development placed an advertisement in the local media calling a meeting on interested persons to attend to discuss in particular the issues of safe housing and support for women and children experiencing domestic and family violence in the Redlands.\u00a0 Some 30 plus men and women attended the initial meeting with the outcome being the formation in 1989 of Redlands Domestic Violence Action Group. The group worked tirelessly as a strong advocate for the establishment of a domestic violence service in the Redlands.\u00a0 In order to promote its message it ran cake and craft stalls and did the catering for bush dances to fund raise.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Redlands Domestic Violence Group Inc was incorporated under the <em>Associations Incorporation Act 1991<\/em> on 8 January 1990 and\u00a0 15 May 1990 was registered as a charity under the <em>Collections Act 1966-1981.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>On 2 May 2000 the Redlands Domestic Violence Action Group was renamed as the Redlands Domestic Violence Service (RDVS).\u00a0 It was registered from 1 July 2000 with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) as a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI) with Deductible Gift Recipient status. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Maybanke Association Inc was registered as an Incorporated Association on and from 8 January 1990 (ABN 17 817 961 769) and as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) 3 December 2012.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A name change to Maybanke Association Inc (to correct a typographical error) was certified under <em>the Act<\/em> on and from 1 December 1992.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/ACNC-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-505 size-thumbnail\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/ACNC-150x150.png 150w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/ACNC-160x160.png 160w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/ACNC.png 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/>Maybanke Association Inc was registered as a charity under the <em>Collections Act 1966<\/em> from 14 May 1990. and with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) from 3 December 2012.\u00a0 It has Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status under section 30-15 of the <em>Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.<\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Registration of the Redlands Domestic Violence Service (RDVS) ceased on 17 July 2006 with a change in name from 1 July 2005 (AGM 2005) and the registration of Maybanke Accommodation and Crisis Support Services (MACSS).\u00a0 Maybanke Accommodation and Crisis Support Services (MACSS) was registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) from 17 July 2006 with Deductible Gift Recipient status from 2 May 2006.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the late 1980s a small group of women with an interest in community development placed an advertisement in the local media calling a meeting on interested persons to attend to discuss in particular the issues of safe housing and support for women and children experiencing domestic and family violence [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"class_list":["post-73","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.maybanke.org.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/73","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.maybanke.org.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.maybanke.org.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.maybanke.org.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.maybanke.org.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=73"}],"version-history":[{"count":13,"href":"https:\/\/www.maybanke.org.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/73\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":681,"href":"https:\/\/www.maybanke.org.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/73\/revisions\/681"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.maybanke.org.au\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=73"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
