Our refuge provides safe, confidential accommodation and specialised support services for women and children fleeing domestic and family violence. We offer a secure and welcoming environment where families can begin their journey toward safety, stability, and healing.

Our location in the Redlands is intentionally kept confidential to protect the safety of those in our care. Within our refuge, women and children are welcomed into unit-style accommodation, thoughtfully designed to feel like home—private, warm, and supportive. We also offer practical assistance with housing, legal referrals, emotional support, safety planning, and recovery pathways tailored to each family’s needs.

Women and children of all backgrounds are welcomed into refuge while they consider the next steps in their journey. Children are supported by family and child specialist to create individual support plans for each member of the family. Our specialist workers provide emotional and practical support to families, including help with safety and wellbeing, housing, parenting and child development, immigration/visa support, NDIS, education and employment, legal assistance and advocacy with other services including a specialist Centrelink worker.

Our team works within a feminist and trauma informed framework of empowerment, dignity, and self-determination. This means that every member of the family will be treated individually, and that their story, experiences and choices will be respected.  Our staff will consult with families about decisions that impact them, and our practice and policies are guided by the needs and feedback from our families, particularly children.
